Adding a Context Note to a Document

Context notes allow you to add important details, clarify information, and offer behavioral observations directly linked to specific documents, helping Psynth interpret the content more accurately and generate precise insights.

Adding a context note is a straightforward process:

1. Upload Your Documents: Ensure that your documents have already been uploaded into Psynth's document upload section.

2. Locate the Document: Navigate to the document to which you wish to add context.

3. Access the Options Menu: Click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the document name.

4. Select "Add Context": From the dropdown menu, choose the "Add Context" option.

5. Enter Your Note: A text box will appear where you can type your context note.

Context notes provide Psynth with information that isn't explicitly stated within the document itself but is crucial for accurate interpretation. Here are some examples:

• Who completed the form: If an intake form was completed by a patient's parent, you can specify this (e.g., "Patient's mother, Jane Smith, completed this form"). This allows Psynth to attribute reported information correctly (e.g., "Patient's mother, Jane, reported that the patient...").

• Document age or origin: Flagging that a document was completed "several months prior to the assessment date" can help contextualize older information.

• Behavioral observations during assessment: For an assessment document, you can add notes about the patient's behavior during test administration (e.g., "Patient struggled to maintain appropriate attention and left the chair during test administration"). This allows you to attach specific observations directly to that assessment without making them global behavioral observations.

• Validity concerns: If there are any concerns about the validity of the information in the document, a context note is an excellent place to record them.

By adding context notes, you help Psynth to:

• Generate more precise and accurate summaries: Psynth can differentiate between information reported by the patient versus a family member.

• Better understand the relevance of information: Notes about document age or external factors can help Psynth weigh the information appropriately.

• Integrate critical behavioral observations: Directly link observations to specific assessment events, enriching the overall analysis.
