What is a Previous Diagnosis?
Incorporating Prior Diagnostic Information into Your Report
The "Previous Diagnosis" feature in Psynth allows you to acknowledge and include diagnoses that were identified in past evaluations or by other providers. This is useful when you want to affirm that a previously made diagnosis is still relevant to the current assessment and report.
When to Use "Previous Diagnosis"
Affirming Past Findings: If a patient had a diagnosis (e.g., GAD) from a previous evaluation or provider, and you confirm that this diagnosis is still applicable, you can add it here.
Contextualizing Current Findings: Including previous diagnoses can provide important historical context for the patient's clinical presentation and your current findings.
How to Add a Previous Diagnosis
Navigate to the Findings Section: After generating your report, scroll to the "Summary of Findings" section, immediately below your last assessment. Click Get Started to open the Diagnosis panel.
Locate "Previous Diagnosis": Below the primary "Diagnosis" and "Supplemental Findings" options, you'll find a section for "Previous Diagnosis."
Enter the Diagnosis: Type in the relevant previous diagnosis.
Psynth will then factor this into your report's write-up, mentioning its past presence as appropriate within the narrative.
