Modifying Patient Details

Psynth gives you control over patient details like name, birthdate, and pronouns—but how and when you can edit this information depends on whether a report has already been generated.

You can edit patient information freely at any time before generating a report.

To do so:

1. Open the patient profile.

2. Click the Edit Details panel.

3. Update fields like:

   • Patient name

   • Date of birth

   • Pronouns

   • Any other relevant details

4. Changes will be reflected in the final report when it’s generated.
   

Once a report has been generated, patient details are locked to preserve accuracy and consistency across the entire document (since that data is embedded throughout the report).

Here are your options:

Option 1: Make Inline Edits in the Report

• Open the exported Word document.

• Use Find and Replace to correct a name, pronoun, or date of birth.

• This works well for small changes like correcting a typo.

Option 2: Recreate the Patient Profile

If the changes are substantial (e.g., name, DOB, or gender identity that affects diagnostic language), the best approach is to:

1. Create a new patient profile with correct information.

2. Re-upload any relevant documents.

3. Regenerate the report.

You can permanently delete a patient profile from within the Edit Details panel. When you do this, Psynth will:

• Permanently remove all associated PHI and uploaded documents.

• Delete all report text.

• Retain only a billing-safe record that a report was generated (e.g., initials and timestamp).
